Measuring content effectiveness is also a primary goal for performance optimization for 22%, while 12% share the same sentiment about identifying audience behavior. Despite the importance of marketing budgets, only 20% of our audience’s main goal was to justify marketing spend, highlighting the fact that for many business leaders, marketing measurement is less about defending budgets and more about driving tangible results and improving strategy effectiveness.

The remaining 38% also had no real preference as to whether SEO performance was the area they’d like to improve most. However, with so many marketing tools available, 35% also share performance insights via automated dashboards on an occasional basis.
